Technology News

ATTENTION PARENTS/GUARDIANS:

All students are required to follow the proper process for turning in their laptops for repairs, website difficulties, or install requests.

Students will take their laptop to their campus library and fill out the appropriate documentation.  It will then be sent to the technology department to receive attention.

Unfortunately, neither tech nor instructional personnel can possibly process and return the personal phone calls and voice mails of our entire student body.

The students do a great job of describing their troubles and we try get them back as soon as we can.  Students  may also borrow a laptop from the library until theirs is returned.

We thank you for your cooperation since it allows us to be more efficient and more sensitive to your students' needs.

Principal's Message

I am Dr. Garth Oliver, the oldest of two boys. My brother Trace lives in Hallettsville. He came to visit me and really liked the town so much that he moved. My father and mother, Ray and Kay are deceased. My amazing wife is Monica Weber Oliver from Dickinson Texas. We have no children, but she loves our three dogs as though they were children. I was born in Sweeny, Texas and lived there until I was seven. I then moved to southeast Missouri until I was twelve; and then moved back to Texas where I graduated from Bay City High School in 1981. I have also lived in Hawaii and South Carolina. Most of my forty something years have been in small towns, some larger and some smaller than Hallettsville so I am very comfortable here and I really enjoy my job. This is an avocation for me and I have grown into the position of principal through being a high school teacher, a career and technology teacher, a university instructor at Clemson University and University of Houston, and a High School Assistant Principal in Houston. I have landed on a slice of heaven here in Hallettsville and I am proud to serve your children and this community. If there is anything I can do to assist your student in his/her education, you can count on me.
